How Start-ups are Driving the Mobility Revolution

The smarter E Podcast Episode 106 | August 25, 2022 | Language: German

In the meantime, it has arrived in all parts of society that mobility behavior is fundamentally changing or has changed. We are dealing with e-mobility, shared mobility, environmental social governance, respectively sustainability, intermodal mobility, semi-autonomous driving, bicycles, scooters, drones, digitalization, changed distribution structures and much more. We have experienced the benefits of changed mobility, but also the conscious avoidance of mobility, and we do not want to give much of it away, even after this pandemic has ended. We pay digitally, act digitally and want to see as many processes as possible implemented digitally.

But who is driving the change? Who can implement it at the speed we need? And who doesn't need to pay attention to business models that are carefully kept in balance? We now talk about this with the managing directors Benedikt Gerber of eQuota, as well as Harald Baumeister of Sopago.

About Benedikt Gerber and eQuota

As a management consultant in the field of energy and transport, eQuota recognized early on that the processes of GHG quota trading are largely analogous and non-transparent. In the course of the implementation of the EU requirements, the Berliners realized at the beginning of 2020 that a major system change was imminent: many new small players, more quota fulfillment via third parties, need for digital solutions. Based on this motivation, eQuota was founded to help all actors to achieve wholesale GHG quota with minimal effort, regardless of company size. Today, eQuota enables all players around gas and e-mobility to focus on their core business and help them establish their sustainable products with the help of the additional revenues, thus accelerating the transport transition. Benedikt Gerber acts as Co-Founder & Managing Director and has been with the company from the beginning.
